All aboard for the Great Train Heist! Keep an eye out for greedy outlaws onboard the Cotton Belt Route Excursion to the Stockyards. Join in on the fun, and help railroad detectives solve the mystery of who robbed the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

Step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. The railroad is serviced by four vintage locomotives, including “Puffy” the 1896 steam locomotive, the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South, “Vinny,” a 1953 GP-7 diesel locomotive and two 1958 FL9 diesel locomotives. Throughout the year, The Grapevine Vintage Railroad travels along the Historic Cotton Belt Route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The 21-mile trip rolls at a leisurely pace and is perfect for the entire family.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad makes every attempt to adhere to the posted schedules. However, GVRR cannot guarantee arrival times due to sharing rails with TEXRail, Freight Trains and Amtrak. Delays or cancellations may also occur due to emergency track maintenance. The GVRR is considered an excursion train and is essentially a guest on the tracks and other railroads get higher priority with the dispatcher. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad does not offer refunds or compensation due to delays. On rare occasions, delays can be an hour or longer. Due to pre-determined train schedules, we are unable to extend our time in the stockyards. Refunds will be given due to cancellation.
