Kathryn’s art celebrates the bond between ranching families and the animals they care for. Her love for the western lifestyle began in early childhood on her grandparents’ ranch near Winnett, Montana. That upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for ranch horses and the people who work alongside them, a passion she strives to share with her viewers. Kathryn works in colored pencil, pastel pencil, graphite, and oil. Her art education has been informal, shaped by generous mentors, dedicated teachers, books, museums, and hands-on experience. She is deeply grateful to those who have encouraged her to pursue her talent, especially the unwavering support of her family.
