Born in Colorado and raised in Missouri, Cheryl has Western jeans in her genes and delighted in visits to her uncles’ Colorado ranches giving rise to a love of Western attitudes. The heart she has for the human soul and its connection to the spirit of animals comes to life in her work, giving a glimpse into her reality.

Cheryl studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, has a BFA in drawing and painting from CSU and earned a teaching certification for art K-12. She later studied at Western States College, Gunnison, Colorado. She enjoyed three years exhibiting in Celebration of Fine Art, Scottsdale, AZ.
