Carol Ann Welch is a wildlife and western artist working in her home studio in North Texas. Her representational paintings capture a glimpse into the lives of her subjects as she seeks to empathetically connect her audience to them.

Her innate love of nature and animals was nurtured by time spent on the family farm, horseback riding and working cattle. Roaming the woods along the Trinity River brought her memorable encounters with wildlife that shaped her lifelong artistic vision. Today, she still seeks out such encounters, whether in her own backyard, or on trips to the Rockies and Great Plains.
